The plot
The king is planning a trip to the neighbouring kingdom. His destination: his rival's throne. No easy task, because the destination is located at the other end of the field and is well guarded. To reach it, His Majesty is dependent on the help of his warriors - only they can clear his way through the enemy ranks. Right from the start, both parties are in close contact with each other, and with every move they have to weigh up what is more important: to get ahead themselves or to stop the enemy who is trying to break a breach for their own ruler. The forces must be well distributed, because whoever sacrifices too many warriors will have a hard time in the end to help his king to the desired throne.
The game
BARAN is a complex tactical battles game for two people. On the diamond-shaped game board you draw and jump, hit and block. The two kings alone are unbeatable and use the resulting gaps to advance. Thanks to the unusual combination of familiar and new game elements, the walk of the kings turns into an exciting competition.

The "dance floor" measures six times six fields, two rows of figures face each other - the game can begin. Every step of a figure leaves traces, because all the fields it crosses are marked with discs. But as fast and easy as one player puts down his discs, the other player can easily erase his opponent's tracks again by crossing his paths and staking out his own areas. Little by little the playing field fills up with a confusing pattern of step sequences. Who keeps track and finds room for the decisive move? The dance is over as soon as a player succeeds in putting down his last disc. TIKU is a small masterpiece by the famous game designer Reiner Knizia. A sophisticated strategy game in which, despite the simplest rules, new and complex game sequences are constantly being created. The noble game material makes the dance of the game pieces a special treat for the eyes and hands of the players.
